Set yourself up for a challenge and be part of our team of athletes who compete and raise money for EMpower. Your support will allow us to continue our efforts empowering young people in EM countries to lead healthy and productive lives. Each year EMpower has guaranteed places at various running events in New York and London.
Upcoming Sports Events
Please let Lucie Kucharova at lkucharova@empowerweb.org know if you would like to be part of this year’s Sports Campaign and represent EMpower at one of the following events, for which we have guaranteed places: London Virgin Marathon 2012, BUPA 10k 2012, adidas Silverstone Half Marathon 2012. In the spirit of the Olympic Games we are also looking at securing participation at the Blenheim Triathlon Relay taking place in June 2012. Stay tuned!
Recent Events
EMpower’s four athletes, Jeremy Godfrey, Ricardo Mora, Christopher Wilder and Vincenzo Zinni, joined 12,000 runners on Sunday 9th October at the Royal Parks Half Marathon capping a beautiful day in London with superb performances, and raising £16,000 for our grantee partners. Anyone who’d like to boost that total can visit their fundraising pages which will remain open for business for a few days yet.
