We are grateful for the support of our Underwriters who understand it costs money to engage in effective philanthropy. Our Underwriters cover all operational and program costs so that all other donor contributions go directly to benefit our grantee partners.
We also value our corporate partnerships, formed where we have a common focus related to at-risk youth, and allowing us to strategically designate funding to a cluster of grants.
Through its involvement in the Grassroots Girls Initiative (GGI), EMpower has invested in strengthening opportunities for at-risk adolescent girls. EMpower collaborates with five leading grantmaking organizations to elevate the voices of adolescent girls, to support local change-makers, and to foster learning about how best to empower adolescent girls. Through grants, workshops and targeted technical assistance, we support local organizations in implementing programs, strengthening their organizational and programmatic capacities, and collaborating with other global partners. GGI is co-funded by the Nike and Novo Foundations.
