Comissão de Cidadania e Reproducão

CCR, a project of CEBRAP, works with women to help them understand their reproductive health rights and responsibilities. EMpower’s grant supported a conference dedicated to raising public awareness on sexual and reproductive rights and garnering support from key decision-makers for the reproductive and sexual health of all Brazilian citizens. In particular, the conference focused on defending current policies that safeguard adolescents’ health, many of which are under attack by several increasingly aggressive groups. The conference was designed to broaden awareness of these policies, and to share examples of how they function in practice, so that they can be protected and expanded.
