Creating Hope International for the Afghan Institute of Learning

EMpower’s grant provides general support for AIL to meet the core objectives they have developed for 2007-2009 which include: continued capacity building, ongoing support for its Education Learning Centers (ELC) as well as adapting ELC programming to meet emerging needs, two new computer centers for training students, training of teachers and school administrators, expansion of Gawhar Shad University and the launch of a new educational quarterly to be published in Herat. AIL is dedicated to the reconstruction of Afghanistan’s education system so that it is accessible to women, youth and other vulnerable communities.
