Linking the Youth of Nigeria through Exchange (LYNX)

Young people in Nigeria are disengaged from the processes that are designed to support the development of their communities. Linking Youth through Exchange Nigeria (LYNX) was founded in 2004 to convert and a lack of a sense of community responsibility among young people into a broader purpose and will to foster social change. LYNX is committed to fostering socially responsible citizenship among Nigerian youth through civic and human rights education, financial education and economic empowerment and community service learning.

EMpower’s second grant to LYNX is expanding its service learning work  by introducing their leadership program into new schools, focused on  new youth leaders, who in turn will engage new peer participants. Also LYNX is documenting their model for school-community service learning, developing a training kit, and sharing it with other schools in Kaduna state as well as other states of Nigeria.
