Ruchika Social Service Organization

The Ruchika Social Service Organization is dedicated to advancing the opportunities of under-privileged children through education. It provides basic literacy, non-formal education, vocational training, nutrition, medical treatment, & emergency assistance to over 4,000 children and their families. With EMpower support, Ruchika is providing 600 children in 17 platform schools with supplementary nutrition program as well as provision of medical service (including medicine, lab fees, transportation to hospital, private doctor charges) through a twice-weekly doctor’s visit for routine medical health check-up and referral of serious cases to public hospitals.

Ruchika was EMpower’s 2010 Champion of Youth Award recipient.
