ACEV was founded to make a lasting contribution to society and individuals‘ lives through teaching functional literacy and life skills for young women who haven‘t gone to school or had to drop out early. ACEV‘s functional literacy programs for women emphasizes practical skills these women need for daily life such as finding addresses, visiting a hospital, and reading invoices and letters. With EMpower support, ACEV is addressing the specific needs of younger women (understanding the legal age of marriage, right to choose a husband, how to plan a family) through special classes and approaches.
