EMpower is thrilled to be a part of Citi’s e for education campaign! The 6th annual campaign launched Tuesday, 4 September and will run until 2 November. EMpower is proud to have been chosen as one of the ten philanthropic organizations that will benefit from the campaign this year!
Citi’s Foreign Exchange and Local Markets business will donate $1 for every $1 million traded with Citi during the 9 weeks of the campaign via a broad range of electronic platforms including Citi’s proprietary platforms- Citi Velocity for institutional clients and CitiFX Pulse for corporate clients. For the first time this year, the campaign will include local market bonds, in addition to FX.
This incredible initiative has raised over $22.5 million since the campaign’s inception in 2013, supporting the education of over 250,000 youth globally. As a beneficiary of the campaign, e for education has enabled EMpower to deepen and expand our work in education, enabling at-risk youth in EM countries to receive a quality, relevant education. EMpower supporters are highly creative and develop their own campaigns – with sports activities, theme-focused events, or making an EMpower donation a “gift” at their wedding. Rally your friends and colleagues to join you in your goal to help at-risk youth get the opportunities they deserve. We help get you started and support your efforts.Yes!
