EMpower UK Support Grows

EMpower UK held its annual board meeting where many governance topics were resolved. We are also pleased to announce the election of a new board member, Arnab Banerji, who heads the Emerging Markets group within Lansdowne Partners Ltd, one of the leading hedge funds in Europe.

Many thanks to Ram Nayak and Vincenzo Zinni of Credit Suisse for arranging a very well attended “Introduction to EMpower” presentation in early July. Thanks as well to Gareth Williams and Philip Hamilton for arranging introductory meetings at Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch last week. All in all, close to 50 EM professionals participated in these sessions to learn about EMpower. This is a great start to growing the base of awareness in the UK of our work.

Finally, EMpower UK is planning an EMpower Awareness Dinner in mid-September by UK Board members for like-minded professionals to grow our base in Europe. Stay tuned for more information on this front!
