Five EMpower Grantees Honored by the Clinton Global Initiative

Four EMpower grantee partners: Afghan Institute for Learning (Afghanistan), El Centro para los Adolescentes de San Miguel de Allende (CASA) (Mexico), Ruchika Social Service Organization (India), and SEWA (India) have been invited to participate in the 2007 Annual Clinton Global Initiative this September.

Previous participant and grantee partner Ubuntu forged new partnerships and garnered much interest from President Clinton himself after attending the 2006 Annual CGI and the 2007 Mid-Year Meeting.

Recognition by the prestigious CGI of the exemplary work of these long-standing EMpower grantees is evidence of EMpower's ability to identify innovative and effective local organizations, guide them through their development, and position them to attract substantial future funding.
